April S. Hubbard's
life mission is to create and share beauty, passion and sensuality. Her chosen
medium is photography and April has gained a reputation as an accomplished photographer
and printer. Her learned technical skills have greatly enhanced her natural sense of
design, composition, color and form.
Floral and plant photography comprises the bulk of April's most recognized work. Her
deep connection and sensitivity to mother earth and all her inhabitants has dictated her
favorite subject matter. Her love of gardening inspired April to photograph flowers with
emphasis on shape, form and sensuality. Many of her photographs are of the flowers
she tends in her own gardens. "I take care of them and they take care of me."

The remainder of April's subject matter stems from her
experiences growing up on a small farm. The rolling pastures, the small streams with their
bubbling waters, the deep wooded areas and even the old and new farm equipment set against
the barns have given her many wonderful photographic opportunities. With the recent birth
of a granddaughter, April has also expanded her special eye to include photographs of
children.
All that emanates from April's soul is evident in her limited edition
photographs, the limited edition "Garlic" poster, her photographic greeting
cards and the wonderful flower shirts, which are silk screened from separations of her
photographs. April's prints, whether purchased for their color, design, or personal
inspiration, will grace your home or office for many years to come.
April has chosen to edition her photographs to increase their value and
longevity.
